Hi! Welcome to my shop!
My name is Emily Holliday, most of my friends call me Em. I'm the owner and sole creator of everything featured on this website! My husband, Trevor, is my #1 supporter, along with our sweet baby girl, Hadley, who loves to help her mama.
Not only am I a mama, I am also a dog mama (to 4 very large boys), farm girl, craft queen (according to my husband), true crime addict, agriculture lover & advocate, adventurer, turquoise obsessed, very family oriented, extroverted introvert (it's a thing, look it up)!
I started my crafting journey with one machine on my dining room table in 2016. I made vinyl stickers and painted a custom cooler for Trevor while we were dating that year. From there, I slowly taught myself how to create tumblers, (better) stickers, badge reels, apparel, ornaments, door mats, cold cups, how to use an embroidery machine, and so, so much more!
I'm still teaching myself new things every day and improving my current items. I'm a believer in "you never stop learning" and in crafting, that is definitely true!! I try to offer new and exciting items as often as I can! But I am only one person so sometimes I am a little behind on trends!
While I made things from 2016 on, Wild Sage Creations Co. became an actual business in 2021 & became Wild Sage & Co. after I rebranded in late 2022 for my new storefront. I wanted to be able to offer my designs instead of only offering made to order custom items. I still do custom items by request when I can!
Wild Sage & Co. got its name from one my favorite things. Sage brush. While I’m from central Kentucky, I now reside in Southern Colorado! My family has traveled to the Northern New Mexico/Southern Colorado area for almost 20 years (since I was around 6-7 years old). It started out as elk hunting trips, eventually evolved into getaways, & now has become home! The area has also always brought a sense of peace for me. I love the nature, the landscape, the peacefulness, and I loveeeeee the smell of the wild sage brush.
While the actual sage brings me a lot of peace, I did some research on the sage brush before I decided that for the name. If you know me, you know I am a huge true crime, ghost & spirits person (not in a weird, creepy way but I do believe in good & evil ghosts & spirits).
In my research I learned that burning sage was used to get rid of any unwanted persisting energies, to ask the spirits for blessings, prosperity, protection and more. Burning sage began with Native Americans & is still used today in some cultures! It is is a way of communicating with the spiritual realm and connecting to spirits. By burning the sage, you are asking the spirit of the sage to lend its cleansing and protective energy into your space, body, energy, etc.
Of course this intrigued me, not only is this amazing plant that I love so calming for me, if you burn it, it brings positive energy!! I was sold. So the business became Wild Sage & Co.
I have loved every bit of my journey of creating, learning, and bringing new ideas to life and I hope to continue this journey with you all!
Thank you for all the love, support, encouragement, trust, recommendations, reviews, and so much more you all have shown me. It truly has been such a blessing in a crazy chapter of my life and I can only hope it keeps getting better!
With all my love,
Em (Trev & Haddie)
